One of Mt. Juliet’s longtime community fundraisers returns October 15 and 16, and this one comes with a plate of spaghetti.

The Jacque Benton Memorial Spaghetti Days fundraiser benefits the Mt. Juliet 55+ Activity Center, with all proceeds supporting programs and activities for older adults.

The event will be held at 1021 Charlie Daniels Parkway, the former Mt. Juliet Police Station.

Meals are $20 and include a large serving of spaghetti, salad, homemade dessert and bread.

Lunch pickup and delivery are available from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on both Thursday and Friday.

Dinner pickup is available from 4:15 p.m. to 6 p.m. both days.

The fundraiser works because it gives residents a simple way to support the center while getting something useful in return: dinner.

The Mt. Juliet 55+ Activity Center provides recreational, educational and social programs for older adults in the community.

Its offerings include arts, crafts, music, activities and other programs designed to keep older residents connected and engaged.

For families, the event is also an easy way to support a local nonprofit without committing to a formal gala or large fundraiser.

Residents can order meals for themselves, coworkers or family members and know the proceeds stay local.

Because lunch delivery is available, workplaces can participate even if employees cannot leave during the midday window.

The two-day format also gives residents more flexibility than a one-night-only event.

Anyone planning to participate should confirm ordering and delivery details directly with the Activity Center as the dates approach.

For Around Mount Juliet, events like Spaghetti Days are worth highlighting because they combine tradition, community participation and a direct local benefit.

The appeal is straightforward: buy dinner, support local seniors and help keep community programs funded.

Residents who have supported the event in past years may already know the routine, while newcomers get an easy introduction to one of Mt. Juliet’s established community fundraisers.

Community fundraisers like Spaghetti Days often succeed because they are familiar, practical and easy to join.

There is no dress code, no long evening program and no need to understand a complicated giving campaign.

Residents simply order a meal, support the center and help fund programs that give local older adults more opportunities to stay active and connected.

That simplicity is part of the event’s staying power.

The 55+ Activity Center serves residents through a broad mix of social, recreational and educational opportunities throughout the year.

Those programs can help reduce isolation, encourage activity and give older adults a consistent place to build friendships.

For adult children and caregivers, supporting the center is also a way to strengthen a community resource their own families may eventually use.

The lunch-delivery option is especially useful for offices, churches and small groups that want to participate together.

Ordering several meals at once can turn an ordinary workday lunch into a simple group fundraiser without requiring anyone to organize a separate event.

Residents who prefer dinner can use the afternoon pickup window and bring meals home for the family.

That flexibility helps the fundraiser reach people who may not be able to attend a traditional community event.

Anyone planning a larger order should confirm delivery availability and ordering instructions directly with the center.

Around Mount Juliet will keep highlighting these practical local fundraisers because they show how small individual actions can collectively support services used by neighbors across the community.
