North Mt. Juliet is getting a major new neighborhood, and the numbers are significant.
Treymor, a John Wieland Homes community from PulteGroup, is under construction at 122 Treymor Drive near the Benders Ferry Road area.
The project is planned for 349 homes across roughly 317 acres, with current builder pricing starting in the mid-$600,000s.
Plans also call for an outdoor pool, cabanas, pickleball courts, walking trails, a dog park, community garden and other shared amenities.
The scale of the project makes it important beyond homebuyers because hundreds of new households can influence traffic, schools, services and nearby commercial demand.
Around Mount Juliet will keep watching what happens after construction begins, especially traffic, infrastructure and how quickly the neighborhood fills in.
Construction traffic, road access and the timing of infrastructure improvements will be important to watch as the neighborhood fills in.
The real story will unfold over time as hundreds of new households arrive and the surrounding area adjusts to the added growth.
Pricing and availability can change as construction progresses, so current builder information is the best source for buyers.
For everyone else, the bigger question is how a 349-home community changes north Mt. Juliet as it becomes occupied.
That is why this development is worth watching well beyond its grand-opening phase. Read More... |
Another “coming soon” sign has officially turned into an open restaurant in Mt. Juliet.
Rock N’ Roll Sushi is now serving diners at 1913 N. Mt. Juliet Road, Suite 100, in the Everette Downs area.
The menu mixes specialty sushi rolls with hibachi, ramen and appetizers, all wrapped in the chain’s rock-music theme.
For local diners, the bigger story is the continued build-out of North Mt. Juliet Road as more restaurant and service spaces move from construction to opening day.
The company’s official location page lists the Mt. Juliet restaurant, and active delivery listings confirm current menu service.
New restaurants often fine-tune hours during their first few weeks, so checking before a special trip is still a smart move.
The opening also gives Mt. Juliet residents another dining option closer to home as the Everette Downs corridor continues filling in.
Once locals begin trying the restaurant, practical feedback on wait times, favorite menu items and takeout service will tell us much more than the opening announcement alone.
As the restaurant settles in, feedback on service, wait times and favorite dishes will help show whether it becomes a stop for Mt. Juliet diners.
That is the kind of follow-up Around Mount Juliet will keep watching after opening day.
As the restaurant settles in, local feedback on service, wait times, takeout and favorite dishes will help show whether it becomes a regular stop for Mt. Juliet diners. Read More... |
Wilson County Schools families have one more day off than some parents may expect.
Fall Break runs through Monday, October 12, and Tuesday, October 13, is a Stockpile Day for teacher professional development.
That means students are scheduled to return to regular classes on Wednesday, October 14.
The extra day can affect childcare, work schedules, transportation and after-school planning, so families may want to reset routines before Tuesday night.
The district calendar also shows a School Board meeting Thursday, October 15, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., one day after students return.
Parents should still check their child’s individual school for campus-specific activities, athletics or schedule updates during the break period.
Families may also want to reset sleep schedules, transportation plans and after-school arrangements before Wednesday morning.
Bookmarking the district calendar can help avoid surprises later in the year when teacher workdays and other schedule changes create another day off for students.
A quick check of meal accounts, school messages and any medication or office paperwork can also make the return smoother.
The Wednesday restart gives families a short three-day school week to settle back into routine.
Families returning from travel may also want to allow extra time Wednesday morning as normal school-day traffic resumes. Read More... |
